Intended Use of Elite-PRP
Preparation of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and other plasma-derived products
Precautions
For single use only. Do not reuse. Discard the entire tube after single use into a biological hazard container and must be treated as potentially infectious blood product.
Warnings and Precautions
Use only on the same patient from whom the blood was drawn. Autologous PRP must be prepared from fresh blood and used within 4 hours. Use safety precautions to protect yourself from needles and blood products. Samples of blood should be regarded as potentially infectious. Do not use the sterile components if the package is damaged or open. Do not re-sterilize. Do not use product if foreign matter is present inside the tube. Do not underfill tubes with blood, as an incorrect blood-to-additive ratio may result in poor product performance. The patient must be informed of the general risks associated with the treatment and of possible adverse effects. Treatments must be administered by a trained healthcare practitioner
Possible Adverse Effects
Temporary pain or numbness, hematomas, and possible infection.
Contraindications
Patients should not receive PRP when they have cancer or metastatic disease, an active infection, low platelet count, and pregnant or breastfeeding.

Store at room temperature between 15°C - 30°C. Do not expose to sunlight. Do not store below 0°C

Open the package of the butterfly needle & vacutainer.
Thread luer-lock adaptor or butterfly needle into the tube holder
Insert butterfly needle into the vein
Push Elite-PRP tube in holder; vacuum system will collect blood
Insert filled Elite-PRP tube into centrifuge
After centrifugation, hold Elite-PRP tube vertically, do not shake or invert
Draw separated PRP above cell separator gel with a long needle

How does Elite-PRP Work?
Platelet rich plasma is a concentration of human platelets in a small volume of plasma, measured to be 1,000,000 platelets per mm3 or 2-6 times the original platelet concentration in our blood. Ten to twenty minutes before treatment, your physician will draw twenty milliliters of your blood using a standard procedure; causing minimal pain (similar to taking a blood test). After extracting your blood, the physician will conduct a centrifuge procedure which will last 6-9 minutes. Elite-PRP is injected below the surface of your skin into the therapeutic area – increasing the skin's thickness.
Do I need a skin test before being treated with Elite-PRP?
No, you do not require a skin test before treatment.
Are the results from Elite-PRP immediate?
Not always. After your first treatment, it may appear that Elite-PRP worked immediately due to the swelling in the treated area, but this is because of the plasma. In a few days, the swelling will go down, and your body will absorb the water from the plasma - results of the therapy may not be seen after this time. Elite-PRP takes time to correct the deterioration of one’s skin gradually. During your post-therapy check-up, the healthcare practitioner may decide to administer another treatment for you.
